hey guys, need some help getting a bow, i got a couple of bows that are rigt handed, a pearson bushmaster 55#@28 and a randy morin high breed 47@28, looking to fing a good lefty bow, preferably a takedown but one piece or a bolt would be awesome too!! also any advice to help me with the switch, my right eye has been getting steadily worse and am doing the right thing for myself and confidence. but let me know if can help wth trades or something like that.

I shoot both sides because Leo Markert told meto practice both sides.

If you know Leo Markert, ask him. He shot lefty after an injury. He knows all the training methods.

Or Justin Newell, he trains both sides. Or, Frank Dohman -sorefingers - he shoots both sides.

Frank's weak side is better than my strong side.

I'm looking for something under 50#, and think I would prefer a longbow! Raging thanks for the advice, unfortunately I'm switching due to sight loss in my right eye, not totally it's just going rapidly, so if I want to continue shooting and hunting this is the right choice.

I switched 2 years ago. Start LIGHT and concentrate on Every shot. I started at 28 lbs but quickly moved up about 5 lbs at a time. Luckily, I had access to some lighter bows. Now I am shooting better than I ever have, but, Have a totally different style. Good luck.

Switching isn't hard to do...you just have to do it.  I switched back on '05 and after two weeks of shooting I was comfortable.  The hardest part will be setting up your stands...everything is backwards!!
