How does it compare to KOM. I have several wool jackets from cabelas, sleeping indian.browning and others.i like the kom the best seems to be less total weight/lbs and as warm as the others.Seems to be a fair price.

It looked very similar to KOM to me. Talk to the folks at Rocky Mountain Specialty Gear (sponsors here), they will give you the straight scoop.

I have KOM and bought the SP pants this year. They are the same. Same wool from the same mill even sewed at the same factory. The price on SP is much better. I'm going to add a SP Grizzly jacket before next season.

I've used Gray Wolf for years. Being in the wool carpet buiz.....I have no complaints with my pants or pull over. That's what I go to when it's plumb mad dog cold.

I also have both K.O.M. and just bought a Silent Predator Dakota vest from Bernie Parson. The wool is the same the SP prices are much better and the people at SP are way better to deal with than K.O.M. Both companies have there wool loomed at Penedelton in Oregon. But,only the SP wool is sewn in Canada. The KOM stuff is no longer being sewn there, could be China for all we know.

Just ordered a Dakota vest today myself. Ditto what longrifle explained. Same wool at a better price.
