Hunting Camo
« on: December 08, 2011, 06:09:00 PM »
I have a real dilema that I cannot seem to solve to my satisfaction. I am trying to put together a hunting outfit that works for early and late season with all the same camo pattern. One that is able to be layered but also that is waterproof or resistant that I can wear in 65 degree weather and layer up for later in 35 degree or in Spring turkey season  temps like this the same day. What hsve you found that works?

Monk, from your description, I believe KUIU would fit your needs perfectly. They have awesome merino wool undergarments and their outer wear is simply awesome...Great design and I really like their Vias camo pattern. Their stuff is incredibly lightweight and their customer service is second to none.
I believe they are a sponsor here as well...

Natgear! Regular cotton when its warm and the windceptor fleece when it gets cold.
Do or do not.  There is no try.

ASAT. Available in cotton through ASAT, Day One Camo has it in fleece, wool, and other fabrics.
Or, go with any brand of clothes you may already have for layering, and wear the ASAT 3D Leafy Duit over top of it. I do that most of the time, and it works great.
...stood alone on a montaintop, starin out at a great divide, I could go east, I could go West, it was all up to me to decide, just then I saw a young hawk flyin and my soul began to rise......

A long sleeve cotton T shirt two sizes too big will fit over any color under things... If price or space is an issue.

ASAT leafy suit here too.  Early season when it is hot, I just wear it over a cotton t-shirt, late winter it is over my wool.

Plaid shirts of cotton in the warm weather and wool later on. Usually brown pants work good for me. Cheap too.
