After killing 3 deer this year with my go-to bows ... I have decided to try to make meat for the rest of the season with my Hill Tembo. I shot it well at times over the summer, but never could get a handle on the consistency I needed to feel good about it in the woods.
Well, after some time fine-tuning with a new string I made from some new TS+ material I shoot on my pronghorn and a little lighter spined arrows that I was forcing through it, I have found a combo that works very well. Now, if I can just put myself in position to get a shot! Easier said than done, I know, but I feel like I owe it to myself to get it done with a true american longbow!
Let me see some of your kills with Hill style bows! Give me some daydreaming material until I can fondly remember my own Hill kill.
I guess I can just look at the long Hill Bug thread to get my fix, but if anyone wants to post other hero shots with their hill bows I'd much appreciate it!
