Got a call from the post office this morning!
« on: December 15, 2011, 02:00:00 PM »
My postal carrier called this morning and said, "I've got three packages for you, and one is really long. I don't want to drive all around the route with it sticking out of my trunk. Can I drop it off in about 30 minutes?"

Ummm, YES!!!

About 45 minutes later I started opening packages and this is what I found:

Two were online auction purchases:the bow and the shirt. The other was an elk Big Shot glove from John and Lori Turner.

It has three lams of bamboo and two of cherry under clear glass.

The shirt is a Woolrich wool plaid in perfect condition.

Man, is that cool or what! All three arrived at the same time.

The Shelton is one smooth shooter. I haven't had much time to play with it yet, but it seems to like a 55-60 spine the best. With a heavy arrow and no silencers, it is the quietest bow I have and I haven't even messed with brace height or anything yet. This is going to be fun!

The Big Shot is going to take some breaking in, but I think I'm going to like it as well, especially for cold weather hunting.

I'd say a very nice day indeed!  And you didn't even have to get dressed up in your camo to ambush the postal delivery person!
