Deflection on a wood arrow

Can anyone tell me what the deflection is on a 45-50 spine Surewood shaft?

I'm looking to input some figures into Stu Miller's calc and don't know what this fifure would be.

Google James Hill Spine Tester. He has a chart for all spine weights and deflections.

45# is .578, 50# is. 520

If you take the number 26 and divide it by the poundage you are wanting, it will give you the deflection. IE"
26 divided by 45= .5777777
26 divided by 50= .520

I just put the midway poundage,ie; 45-50 put 47.5 in the pound box,at least that's what Stu told me to do. No need to know the deflection.

That formula is great information. Got a chart from you guys sometime back but I will write that formula down.

You can also take a know deflection (AMO) number and divide it by 26 and it will give you the poundage for that deflection.

Ok got it.  Makes sense now.  I was confused because the arrows are sold spines 45-50, so I wasn't sure what to enter.

If the arrows were sold as 45-50 that spine weight is for an arrow that is 28" long with a 125 point attached.
