eclipse broadheads?

I have taken a few deer with the 145 grain two blade Eclipse head. Good blood trails and pretty easy to sharpen. I would highly recomend the Eclipse Broadhead.

very good head! they keep a sharp edge leave a nice hole and an even better blood trail!
havent lost or bent one yet.
 my girlfriend shoots the 145s with a 125gn steel insert on goldtips from her 45lb bob lee recurve, never had a problem only one time did the arrow not passthrough.

I have taken a black bear last year and a nice whitetail buck this year with the big four blade model. They are a good durable head and sharpen well.  Both of the above mentioned animals died quickly and were found easily... Good heads.

I use them.  They are great.  Sharpen well, hold an edge, fly well...no problems.  Very good heads.

Excellent heads, very well made and IMO among the very toughest heads you can buy anywhere at any price.

The teflon coating is a neat feature as well, you can feel the difference when you rub your thumb over it versus a non coated head.

Blake at Eclipse is also a great guy to work with, I enjoy using products from such conscientious vendors.

These heads were previously called Journeyman broadheads. I have used them for almost 20 years. Very comparable to Zwickey Deltas. They have a thin copper inlay that makes them extremely easy to sharpen. I shot two Does with them this year. They were mounted on Easton Axis carbons and blew through both animals. I killed the largest whitetail that I have ever taken with the Journeyman back in 1994. One of the very best heads out there. Next year I may try the 4 blade. They look interesting. The heads also fly extremely well.

I've got a six pack of the double bevel werewolfs and I'm impressed with the quality of steel. It takes a very, very good edge. I haven't shot mine yet so I can't comment on the edge retention but the steel  seems excellent. That being said for the guys who have seen or used the double bevels, would you file the tips off? They are very pointy and look like they could curl. I don't really want to tanto them but if anyone else has any experience with them I'm all ears.

I have used the 145 grain with bleeders for the last 4 years with excellent results. They:
Mount and align easily.
Are a little harder to sharpen then many other broadheads.
They hold an edge as good, if not better then any broadhead that I have used over the past thirty years.
Are tough and durable.

 The factory tip its fine, I Tantoed a couple of tips for experimental reasons and like the factory version better.

My go-to head is a 125gr single RH bevel two blade. I only have the one. My back-up heads are the double bevels.

I use them on GT Trads and flight is better than Grizzly for me and eges out the magnus two blade also. I have some Ace 200 gr two blades also but I keep relying on the one single bevel Eclipse.

I purchase lw single bevel werewolves and was pleased with initial appearance. After measuring them found the consistency lacking. Of the six heads in package there was a 20 grain spread from lightest to heaviest. They were also not ground even close to sharp.

MD, My hunting partner purchased 6 of the single bevel warewolfs and his initial thoughts were the same a yours: for that price they should be ready to hunt with.  I weighed all six of his broadheads and they were within 3 grains of each other. He is'....put diplomatically, Sharpening Challenged.  It took me about 30 minutes to put a huntable edge on all six of the broadheads.  However,  when finished, the edge is sharper then any  stainless steel broahead I have used (I will qualify that statement, as I haven't used a German Kinetics, but did examine one once, and I think it may have been sharper).   Two of them maintained their edge  well enough after passing through a buck and doe that no touch up was needed.  I an not a blacksmith, but the metal in the werewolf blades appears closer to that of a good knife then it is to the disposable stainless steel broadheads.

I have 6 of the werewolf DB heads, very well made but I really prefer a wider head. If they could stamp out a Deadhead profile blade to fit their ferrel it would be awesome!!!!!!

Awesome heads, the Eclipse sharpen very easily, and once in a while I have to touch up the Werewolfs out of the package.  

Respectfully 'Warchild,' Eclipse and Journeymans are two different animals.
