That Hunter looks real nice, I used the boo accents on my Expi give the bows a nice accent! I also went with the high gloss finish really makes the Osage pop with the finish!

Ripforce56, that Osage is sweet! I might have to use that in my next Expi.

I to ordered The Royal with Osage limbs front and back with a dark curly maple riser with dark horn tips. Thought about getting it in a takedown but already have 2 takedowns.

I almost went with the dark curly maple but theres just something special about that osage, especially when it starts turning into that deep rich color.

Here's another shot of mine. I've been away from the board awhile. Can't believe I missed this one.

Here's my 64" Expi. The first Bama with a gloss finish.

I was expecting you Nick. That bow is just awesome! I hope your season has been a good one.

I'm having Nate do my Royal in gloss so the Tiger Maple will have that beautiful 3D look. Nate said he got some of the best Tiger Maple he's seen. He's doing the finish right now.

Nate sure makes a pretty bow. Really like those D shape ones.

Dodger and Nigel, those are really sweet looking bows!

Arrow Flynn, I believe that is a lam of black glass added to the core. I have a 2pc Hunter I got used that has it. It seems to add some extra speed.

Thanks Danny. The credit goes entirely to Nate though.

I now understand what was confusing Arrow Flynn. Thanks for clearing that up.

I am not entirely convinced that the sandwiched glass would make the bow a tad zippier. Nate did not have a chrono then and was going by customer feedback. Do you have a similar poundage Bama Hunter w/o the sandwiched glass lamination and a chrono to verify this claim?

Nate will be making me a new Hunter but a little more Hillesque in stature (narrow, deep cored limbs and a straight wedge shaped grip) in American Black Walnut. I wonder why American bowyers don't use this wood that often.

I'm pumped to see this thread is still alive and well.

I've started a Pinterest clipboard for Bama Bows which will be a gallery of sorts. So far DannyBows, Ripforce, and I are posting photos to it.

If you are on Pinterest I will invite you to the board. If not, I can post your photos to the board and put your name in the Description as the owner of the bow.

Either way, PM me with what you want to do and I will give you details.
