Powerbond vs. Ferr-L-Tite
« on: July 17, 2007, 06:54:00 PM »
For aluminum inserts into aluminum arra's.
Anyone tried both products?
Is the Powerbond worth the extra $$$? Is it that much easier = less messy to use, or, just a better product in general?

I won't be hunting in any temps much below freezing at all, so I'm not overly concerned with it being brittle in really cold temps.

I'm more concerened about loosing points in 3D targets.

Thanks for any input you might have,

YB

I don't know about the aluminums but with a carbon the Powerbond is MUCH better. I would say it is worth the xtra $. I have lost some points with ferr-l-tite but none with the Powerbond.

  Good Luck.

Hi Ron,

And thanks for the info

I'm just making up some aluminums for a light weight rehab bow right now, but I'll probably switch over to carbon's for deer season once I can pull 45# or so w/out any pain.

Guess I'll just go ahead and get the Powerbond, 3 Rivers says it can be used on both materials.

Do you find it fairly easy to work with?

Thanks again,

YB

Make sure your components are clean and follow the directions, I have not had any problems. Use it sparingly and there is little to clean up.
