It was such a surprise to see them there.  We thought we were a bit to far east but the Rancher said he occasionally has a few groups running around.  That thing stunk bad though.  I have never smelled anything like it.

Great stuff Derrick! Nice trophy. Still laughing out loud at your story! I can just see that happening. I'll let him tell it if he wants. Come back anytime!

Ha, that sucker chased me and I ran like a one of my daughters. I shot the second time through the thinnest part of the brush that I could and it was a perfect lung hit and he hit the ground. I called my buddy because I was so excited and I heard him pop his jaws. I turned around and he was running after me. I dropped my bow because I had to run back to my brush blind to get another arrow. I might have let out a scream i'm not sure.  I'm a big boy but it honestly scared the hell out of me. When I got back to the blind I started laughing and couldn't stop.  It was such a great hunt.

Ah the skunk pig.  Though so much fun to stalk and hunt with stick and string they do smell quite foul and are rather ill tempered.

I hope I get to go hunt them again very very soon.  :bigsmyl:    :bigsmyl:    :archer2:
