I got to hunt big game 18 days in two states
With three shots I got a cow elk
mule deer and whitetail buck.
I also called in a bear to with in 15 yards but he/she never got broadside.
Next year I would love to repeat.

My goal for 2012 is to only buy the cedar shafts and feathers that will be needed to supply my friends and family with arrows and nothing more.

2011 Goals Achieved:

1. Made a full year clean & sober july 27th 2011.

2. Got back into archery after 17 years of mothballing my bows.

3. Discovered that I could no longer draw my 80# jennings compound and bought a new 2010 60lb PSE Omen off the local pro shops 50% off rack..and mastered it...got bored and..

4. Tried mastering my old Bob Lee TD Hunter Recurve..but it's 54#s at 28"s didnt allow my feeble old self to practice as much as i wanted to so?..

5. Bought a 44# Bushmen "American Native" longbow..to practice with..and is the first "longbow" i've ever owned and by far the prettiest bow i've ever owned.

2012 Goals:

1. To practice enough with my 44# longbow that i can build up to master my 54# Recurve.

2. To attend and participate in at least 2 state level trad 3D tourneys.

3. I am attending the Rod Jenkins archery clinic on the 5th & 6th of may in venus, florida.

and that's about it for this year!   :)

2011-reignited the Trad fire and shot the recurve i shot a lot as a kid, fletched my own arrows.

2012- Want to shoot a TON all year and work up to proficiency with my Siren T/D that will be coming soon, make and use my own wood arrows, hunt lots of small game.

I hope to do my best at using my new Longbow to take blacktails and black bears on Prince of Wales this Sept. and try my hand at Moose with a bow this fall too.

My goals weren't exactly met, but I hunted 90% from the ground. Two shots with longbow at mature bucks. Missed both, but I got the shots.

Also got two shots on the ground at turkeys, no blinds, same results.

I have been wanting an osage, made for me Great Northern Critter Gitter for a lot of years.  Finally ordered it last spring and got it early May.  Never been happier with a bow before and the bow has become part of me.  So, when the 2011 hunting season started here in Indiana, my goal for 2011 was to take a deer with it.  I passed on several yearlings, missed a spike and finally took a mature doe at the end of October.

My goal for 2012?  Fill both Indiana archery tags with the Critter Gitter.  : )

Well, I got to fill my Spring and Fall turkey tags and shot a doe from a natural ground blind.

For 2012 I would like to fill all my tags, 5 deer, 1 bear , 2 turkeys and a coyote, which doesn't require a tag. In Maine I would like to take a black bear from the ground. The more I think about that the more I think I'll give it a try.

On the top of my list, however, is getting my wife on to a buck decent enough to have mounted....6 or more points. If I could do that I would be happy to get one deer and 2 turkeys. Another thing I would like is to see  Laura bag her first turkey. We've got plenty of turkeys, she just needs to make the time.
The best things in life....aren't things!
