Great Northern Sidekick quiver?
« on: January 01, 2012, 08:19:00 PM »
Im looking for a quiver that does not attach to my bow and was wondering about the sidekick. Will they hold small diameter carbons such as Axis or MFX? Also are they durable and worth the money?

cant speak to the side kick but I have the side mount on my bow, same quiver different attachment system, and they are great. You can get the small gripper for the axis shafts, thats what I shoot. As for are they worth the money I think so and would highly recomend any thing from Great Northern.

They're great quivers and I use them when I'm carrying my longbows.  I use GT 3555's and they fit fine.  I think they're priced right in there with any quality quiver and never had a problem with durability.

They offer 3 sizes of arrow grippers, the small will fit the Axis carbons.

I use them for 11/32" wood and Beman MFX "skinny carbons" with proper size grippers. A great side quiver, very light, small and they work extremely well.

Anything Great Northern is top quality.  I don't have a side kick quiver, but I do have one of their bow quivers and they are awesome.

With the sidekick you don't have any bow shock, so the 5/16" gripper for carbon express will hold the MFX shafts also. At least this works for me.
