Ok,I have a HH Robin Hood and love the bow BUT I don't like the shelf being cut so far b4 center and want to cut it in to center. My question is this. The bow is boo backed yew with Texas Ebony riser. It pulls 43#@my 27". If I cut it to center is there enough beef left in the riser to handle it? (43#'s isn't really all that much) I have finished out a HH blank and am confident that I can cut it in w/o messing up the glass, shelf radius etc. Also, can I finish it with spar urathane or maybe the whole bow with tru-oil? With this low draw weight and now being cut way out from center the spines have to be really weak.(too weak for my liking) What do ya think?
