ILF Bow Infos online

Well, it took me a lot longer than expected, due to my eye injury, but ILFBows.com is online now. I have integrated the new website into Bowreports.com, so you can reach the tests of "modern recurve and longbows" either through the bowreports.com navigation or you can reach this section via ilfbows.com.

I had a lot of plans of what to test and measure and had countless conversations with different shooters (FITA, 3D etc.) and hunters of what they want to see. Some thing were feasible and some were not. So I had to make compromises about my testings and presentations, since there are so many possible adjustments that will influence the testing.

On the complete bows I will adjust the limb bolts to the medium setting and will adjust the brace height to the recommended height. Those bows will be tested with 9 gpp and with 6 gpp or the minimum recommended arrow weight.

Limbs will be tested on reference risers with the limb bolts adjusted to the medium setting. Those settings will stay the same for all limb tests with only minor adjustments for tiller if needed. Recurve limbs will be tested on a 25" and a 17" reference riser. Longbow limbs will be tested on a 15" and a 19" reference riser.

Test Risers will be measured with reference limbs that will be mounted with the ILF fitting perpendicular to the limb pocket, so you can see how the reference limbs are loading on that riser. All risers will be measured with a medium recurve limb and risers from 13" to 19" will additionally be measured with longbow limbs.

At least that's the plan for right now. There will also be special tests that will compare limbs of different materials, string tests etc. Adding videos is also in the planning stages. Time will tell.

I have the framework done and will constantly add new tests and presentations. Please check it out and tell me what you think (the good, the bad and the ugly) I'm also open for suggestions, since I guess after a while I developed some tunnel vision.

Nice info on there.
I can see how smooth the draw is and what type of speeds the various bows are producing.
