For one piece longbows I've used a bowsock and a Plano telescoping fishing rod holder when flying.

If you're looking for a take-down case I use a take-down shotgun case. I was in W@!mart the other day and they had a Plano take-down case that looked like a knockoff of the SKB cases and the foam was pre-perforated so you could customize it. The case was only $40.

I use a double gun case for my 54" recurve.

I use a hard sided golf clob travel case. My Two Tracks Abush 1 piece recurve fits in there just fine, along with my 4" PVC arrow tube I made, and my take down bow as a back up.

Years ago, I shot a Browning Citori and bought a Browning hard-side case for it. (I think it was a Model 1215 case.) When I sold the gun, I kept the case and reconfigured the interior with soft foam.
Both of my Benellis came with inexpensive, but durable, plastic cases. Either of them is easily converted into a bow case.
There are hard-sides like this available at flea markets and yard sales. Keep your eyes open.
