Arrow spine consistancy
«
on:

I can't afford a spine tester right now, and was wondering which carbon arrows(brand and model)seem to have the best spine tolerance? Someone here mentioned that wrapped arrows do, but what does that mean exactly? Cap wraps, or something else entirely? Thanks all! SB.

I think when they said wrapped they mean the way the carbon is made into the arrow. Radial X Weaves are very straight and very consistant in spine and the carbon is woven in an X weave pattern to form the arrow. Very strong arrows!

I have as of yet to find a brand of carbons that were not uniform in spine for all arrows. Woods vary a lot more.

While some carbons are technically "more consistent" the difference is so slight that its a non-issue. With wall thickness, and ultimately spine, you are talking about +- a thousandth or so. Im simply not good enough to notice that.

Ipcjon2, I've been looking at those PSE arrows. What spine, length, insert, and point weight are you using? I think they are all a 9/32 shaft?....
