Yeah, someday I should switch to wood arrows just for the change itself. As with other products I'll order from Tim first if possible.

Hey, this a thumbs up thread to Tim, not sure if I made that clear!
Seemed to me that the wood were not as finicky to tune as carbons. Anybody else see anything like that?
I still have plenty of weight with the wood, but the heavy FOC is out the window.

I hate carbons and I love aluminums but your thread is making me want to go wood again. Nothing quieter than wood arrows in a side quiver, and a whole lot easier to tune than carbons IMHO.

Yes, I too believe woodies are much easier to tune than carbons. And Aluminums come far more consistant than carbons. Woodies can be grouped to be far more consistant than carbons. The low frequency of occilation of carbon shafts hides these shortcomings. It is the sting and glue nature of the way carbons are manufactured. That is why the best target shafts combine carbon and aluminum.

I don't believe that wood can be more consistant than carbons, but I believe wood can be shot as well as carbon at hunting ranges. I've shot wood, aluminum and carbon (lot's of different ones) and the Easton Axis is a great shaft. That being said, I love shooting and playing with wood arrows and the three deer i shot with wood arrows this fall didn't know the difference.

...and Ray is it not just cool to take an animal with a wood arrow. Just kinda is right when you walk up and see that wood arrow, knowing that the ancient bowman and classic bowman of the past took game with the same type of arrow you are taking game with. It gives me an appreciation of the past and the accomplishment. Some will say that is insignificant, I beg to differ...

23 years since I built some woodies and I'm pumped to say "I just ordered test kit B"!
Looks like a monster bear will meet wood this spring!

I'll add my vote to the great service and quick shipping. I don't think it's humanly possible to get stuff out any faster than he does.
