Trad Archers World Mag
« on: January 07, 2012, 08:52:00 PM »
Instinctive Archer magazine was my favorite archery publication. I like Traditional Bowhunter mag, and subscribe to it, but it doesn't fill the void created when Instinctive Archer mag shut down.

The Bowyers journal mag came along but I didn't subscribe to it as I don't consider myself a bowyer and while I like to read some articles about bow making, I wasn't interested in a magazine devoted to that subject.

Along comes Trad Archers World mag and the void created when Instinctive Archer mag went out of print is now filled. I have enjoyed this magazine immensely and really enjoy the variety of the stories, and that a lot of them are written by 'average Joe' bowhunters like you and I.

I encourage each of you who enjoyed Instinctive Archer mag to give Trad Archers World a try and I'm sure you'll be happy you did.

I like it and subscribe to it (&TBM) but it's a bit rough editorially and graphically. (I used to be an outdoor editor.) The content is good though, competent and folksy, nothing a little copy editing couldn't fix.

So, any suggestions on how to improve on Instinctive Archer Magazine?

The economy is sure to turn around sometime. The key to success, is knowing when to draw, and when to let down. But more importantly, when to draw and shoot.

I agree. I just got a copy yesterday and enjoyed it immensely. I'm going to get a subscription, hopefully down the road they will make it bimonthly.

I was fortunate to have the recent story I wrote about my relationship with my father published in the current issue of TradArchers World. From the feedback I've received it has touched a lot of people who have suffered through similar circumstances of hardship and illness.  That's Dad on the cover.  He keeps his copy CLOSE and won't let anyone near it;^)

It's difficult and I never feel like I am doing enough, or even the right thing, however if you're lucky an opportunity comes along that can lead to a good thing.

I really like it because it is more of a "regular Joe" kind of magazine. Lots of local hunting stories and how to's make the magazine appealing to the average trad bowhunter.

After receiving only a ripped cover with no contents I emailed the magazine and reported the mishap. In a few days I had a replacement copy safely packaged in an envelope! Great customer relations! Thank you TAW!
