Just to piggback on the great reviews..

We got our poundcake yesterday.  Oh boy ! What a treat.  Sophie was so excited !  You may remember I had to have her help in acquiring the contribution

Well we have made many trips out to the mailbox together and last night as soon as Sophie got about 20 yards from it she started to get excited.  I thought, "hey, more cigars".  But what a treat to find a our poundcake.

We both ran inside and tried to keep from drooling too badly as we opened the box.

Sophie enjoyed her taste of pure poundcake heaven.

Of course my slices were much bigger.  But when I looked to the loosley wrapped remainder on the counter this morning I could have sworn it was a lot smaller than I had left it last night.

Somebody still had crumbs on her nose too!

Thank you Delaney.  As said above, your baking was worth every penny.

I was a grateful recepient of a few servings at Whips with Ken, Charles and Joe through several other's generosity shared with my onery hide.

I can say without reservation I've NEVER eaten anything that was quite that heavenly in my life and that's saying something coming from PA Dutch Country with all the German and Amish baking goes on!

The blessings and heart put into it likely had a lot to do with the incredible taste!

DB, you and the MRs done good raising up those young'uns! That is quite the young lass you have there!
The words "Child" and "terminal illness" should never share the same sentence! Those who care-do, others question!

We just watched the Mossy Oak show with the Wensels on the Pursuit Channel.  I said, "Delaney, I think one of those old fat guys got a chance to eat some of your poundcake."
Her little brother is still rolling around on the floor laughing.

We're the fortunate ones in all of this.  Thanks again guys.
