Clifford,
How far do you back off of the bedding area? I hear of people hunting the edge of the areas but have always wonder how far away do you need to be from them? The land I hunt on is really thick with Yupons Gallberry bushes with thick stands of pines (mostly 30 to 40 footers) and drains with mixed pin oaks and some small white oaks but really choked with underbrush.

It's pretty tough next door in Louisiana as well, but a few days back a potential Louisiana state bow record, 222" green scored non-typical was taken on Tensas NWR, which is public. I suppose we should be somewhat thankful we can still hunt here.....other folks have it a lot worse.

awhhhh, those amazing whitetails.. If I could only be half as good at patterning them as they are of me....
But then that is what makes hunting them so much fun.
