Toelke arrived
« on: January 18, 2012, 09:30:00 PM »
Hi guys, New guy to the site here.  Really appreciate reading all the posts and learning as I go. Shot a bow right-handed for 30 years and am now following my dominant eye and going traditional all at once.

My left handed Toelke arrive yesterday and the pro shop got me all fixed up on shafts yesterday. My bow is 52# at 31" draw and my arrows weigh in at 538 grains. Only got to shoot it a few times yesterday but am totally sold.

Going to wring it out and know if I have questions along the way that the folks on this site will have the answers. And will add that Dan Toelke is one fine gentleman.

Welcome and congrats on your new bow. I agree with you regarding Dan. Bought a bow from him for my daughter at Christmas. Great guy. I may have to try one of these Whips myself one day!

I just received a Whip HS {new design) last week and am very very pleased with quality and shootability.  I know there are probably a bunch of fine bowyers out there, but I would say Dan Toelke and Lee Hoots are at the top.

Appreciate the comments. The bow is a 64" whip model. Setup lefty and 52# at 31" draw.  It is an amazing thing to shoot one of these after shooting compounds for years.

Great looking bow. I too am whipped.
TGMM-Family of the Bow

The quest to improve is so focused on a few design aspects & compensating for hunter ineptness as to actually have reduced a bow & arrow’s effectiveness. Nothing better demonstrates this than mech. BHs & speed fixated designs

You made a great choice in bows.  His bows are so smooth and extremely quiet.  Dan is great to deal with and each bow he produces is a work of art.
