Great morning for stumpin'
« on: January 21, 2012, 11:34:00 AM »
We finally received snow.  So what better thing to do on a Saturday morning than strap on your snow shoes and do a little stumpin'?

Nice!  I was snowshoeing with the dogs this morning.  Thought about doing some stumping, but figured I would end up losing my last couple stumping arrow.  Glad to see someone has more confidence in their shooting than I do at this point in the winter.
The season gave him perfect mornings, hunter's moons and fields of freedom found only by walking them with a predator's stride.

Can't seem to get a decent snow around here. Love being in the woods when there's a fresh snow on the ground. Cool pic's BTW!

Ken, any time in the woods is a fine time!  I wish I was in the mountains.  How much snow did you get?

May get out for some rabbits before work. We have about 8" of fresh powder here but the wind chill is down to about 9 degrees.

Glad you were able to get out a bit. Nothing beats cabin fever than a day stumping!

Looks like a lot of fun!  We got some new snow here in Wisconsin also, looking forward to getting out.  Stumpin is hard to beat.

You're right, Jay.  Tough to beat a morning of stumpin.  Get right out there, those stumps aren't going to shoot themselves, ya know LOL!

We got six inches of snow here in northern Iowa yesterday and it would have been a fine day to hit the woods doing a little stump shooting.  Unfortunately, it was -14 degrees here this morning!  Brrr.......

I spent my time making arrows instead.

Not much snow here Ron just a few inches in the woods. I may take a walk with the bow tomorrow if my  wife's honey-do list ain't to long....LOL!
