Incredible!  The detailed, helpful responses on this site are so superior to the typical shallow chat on facebook and other such 'social' networks, I know I have found "my people."

Depends on a few things.  Among those considerations are such practical issues as balance and noise when shooting and they type of cover/brush you are hunting/maneuvering in, and such aesthetic issues such as appearance and "appropriatness" (for lack of a better word).

Personally, I break it up like this...most of the time: With my fiberglass laminated recurve, an old Bear, I use a bow quiver (also an old Bear).  It seems appropriate since they were made for each other and the metal/foam quiver doesn't essentially clash with the fiberglass on the recurve.  It also has the practical effect of making the bow shoot just a bit quieter, or at least with a duller tone that doesn't seem to bother game very much.  However, with my home made selfbows, I prefer to use a side quiver or back quiver rather than a bow quiver.  It seems to match from an aesthetic standpoint, and the bows are already whisper quiet and so don't need any help there.

That's my thought train, for what it's worth.  Hope that helps some, but it probably confuses things more.  You'll get used to that.   ;)

I have a better suggestion why don't you do a web   :help:  search for a traditional club near you. Then go and try/play with that group hands on. You might the find a grip/bow     (weight, grip, style)close  to what you like. If the group is anything like most trad. members here they will more than happy to share thier knowlge   :notworthy:   you could attend

I find back or hip quivers always get hung up on brush when hunting...when bow mounted my arrows go exactly where my bow goes and arrows are more readily available...I hunt a lot of public land and look for the nastiest brush I can find though

ditto.  I have four and I hate every one of them a little.
