Need a little help, Hoyt Buffalo

I have a friend who is seriously contemplating a Hoyt Buffalo.  I am trying to help him with arrow selection and set up.

I have been to the Hoyt site but can not find how the riser is cut... to center or past and if so how much?

This gentelman is going to be shooting a draw length of 29" with a 50# rated bow.  He has a pretty good stash of alu. stuff (2117's etc) and carbon is not out of the question.

I am working Stu's calc based on "High Performance Recurve"

Any experience out there????

I tried to measure mine but they are hard to measure due to a lot of rounded edges but as near as I can figure they are cutto center and are about 3/32" from center when you add back in the strike plate. They have a radiused strike plate area and the hair strike plate is pretty thick and that is the surface I'm measuring to.

I'm shooting 28" GT3555 with 50 gr inserts and 145gr. points so I'm drawing less. It also will shoot GT1535 with 50 gr inserts and 125 gr points, 11/32" wood 55-60, 2016s and 1916s. It shoots almost every arrow I own.

Correction, dimension is 2.5 /16ths of an inch which is 5/32" out from center.

I know the Easton arrow selection calculator (THEIR WEBSITE) was spot on for my buffalo.  It is not the most handsome bow but it sure performs.

I really like my Hoyt buffalo. I'm shooting traditional only 400's cut to 30" with 50 grain inserts and 125 grain tips. Arrow fly like darts even with my razor heads.

I have two buffalos 1-#45 and 1-#55  The #45 seems to like 2016 shafts pretty well. The #55 bow I shoot full length 400  full metal jackets with 75 gr. inserts and 125 gr points with 5" shield cut feathers. I shoot split finger and 8 1/4 inch brace hieght. My draw is 29". I have also found that a skinnier string seems to do a little better on the hoyts, I am shooting a ten strand flemish twist fastflight string.. I never had much luck with stus calculator .
