Arrow flight ?

Did several searches and didn't find what I need so here goes. I shoot left handed and back of my arrows are tailing to the left as the leave the bow. Are they spined to light or to stiff?

Well, sounds like it could be several things. Which direction is your Index feather? Try turning it. Ya never know!

64" lonhbow 50@28 I draw 27" 35/55 gold tip arrows 29 1/2" with 250gr field point= 503gr. If the back of a arrow kicks left off a left handed bow is the to stiff or to light?

Too stiff add more weight or try lowering your brace height.

Normally, nock left for a lefty indicates too stiff. But with your set-up that shouldn't be the problem. Did you try shooting through paper from about 10 feet, that way you are sure about the fishtail and it not being a combination of porposing and fishtailing. If it is a combination, then you have to work on correcting one at a time.

A brace height that's way too low will also cause the arrows to glance off the shelf.

Thanks Guys. At one time I knew all this stuff but I've been out of the sport for a few years but I knew I could depend on the people here to give me the right answer. My brace height is kinda low about 6" I have raised it to 7 1/2" and removed some arrow rest to get a little closer to center. Haven't had time to shoot yet but will paper tune and see what happens. I can always get a little heavyer on the field tip.

I think the brace height increase will get rid of the flip coming out of the bow.  May not need to go to 7 1/2.  6 3/4 or 7 might do it nicely.  They should fly straight at 7 1/2.  From there you can incrementally lower it until your arrows start acting goofy again, then raise it slightly to settle in the sweet spot.

Well they still have just a tad tail left when they leave the bow which could be my poor release( I haven't shot 12 arrows in 3 years). They hit right where I am looking every time and hit hard. I think I'll shoot em for a while. I shot recurves for years and they were always easy to get good arrow flight from, but I have never got perfect arrow flight from a longbow. I know it can be done just not by me.

Be sure to keep your bow hand tight to your face at the release to avoid plucking, which can cause the kind of flip/flop you're describing.   When I start getting goofy arrow flight, it's usually because I'm not tight to my face, and my release hand tends to go out rather than back.  Of course, less than perfect back tension also contributes to this for me.  Good luck.
