I got home from the gym this morning and my all Phenolic Morrison Riser was here.
I called Bob who is great BTW and he told me the bolts where maxed out already just dial in my tiller which I did and have at it
I only had about an hour before work so I put on a set of Dryad Epic short limbs I had and set a rough brace height and then proceeded to set the bow up the way I will hunt
For this project I wanted dark everything a true hunting machine no fancy wood hence the full Phenolic riser with only a band of white to set it apart
For a quiver although I am a big Great Northern fan on three piece bows I went with the old Kwikee Quiver
This bow is gonna be all business
The bow scaled at my 27 inch draw 53 pounds
I went over to my hunting arrows that I keep sorted in vases and pulled some bare shafts from the different selections and started shooting
Again these numbers are just a start and I have just begun to tune but I found a bareshaft it liked
So far very quiet and pretty quick 184 fps thru the chrono with a 530 grain arrow at my 27 inch draw
Mind you with these limbs make a 58 inch bow and I got them here on the exchange. I figured these would make a great stalking/driving bow.
I really like the Dryad limbs and was ver surprised to see it liked a stiffer spined arrow than I thought
I have a date with John at Trad Tech on Thursday night to try a set of BF Extreme limbs in a medium which will make a 60 inch bow
I am loving this riser how it feels in the hand not heavy but dead. I love the look of the black Phenolic with the white chevron
I love the versatility of the Ilf setup and can tell I am going to be addicted to searching out limbs
Thanks for looking
