Does anyone know anything about rudder bows? I have a question about brace height on a new bow I just received?

Generally the bowyer sets the brace height or at least a suggested brace height. You may have to tweek it a bit to suit your style of shooting.

He generally uses B50 Flemish twist Strings, it may stretch a wee bit. I am sure he will answer ANY question you may have, he is a Stand Up Guy.

Well I was wondering because it looks kinda shallow and it keeps slapping me in the wrist, and this is the only time that's ever happened. It's a six foot sixty pound long bow. Just wondering what a suggested height might be.

I have a a few of Jim's Bows. Mine are 72" or  longer.

Brace ht between 6 and 7 inches.

Jim is recovering from a car accident. Don't know if he is back in full swing or not.

Fred,

Is this your first Rudder Bow or first ELB? If so, I may have some answers for you.  Shoot me a PM.
