I prefer either carbon or wood. I shoot carbon 99% of the time. For strength, recovery, and lack of bending.
I enjoy good wood arrows but haven't got the time to craft nice ones for myself. And with the prices on good, handmade arrows I can get carbons.
I don't really care for aluminums. I like the straightness they offer but I can't keep them straight to save my life. Last dozen I bought I had 5 bent arrows in less than a week. And, its not from missing targets. Just don't seem to be very durable for all around shooting.
