Dorado Brace Height
« on: February 03, 2012, 08:03:00 PM »
Hello all, I have a brace height question. I just got my new Dorado and the insert says I should start at 7 1/4" brace height. There is no way that I can unwind enough turns out of the string to get to 7 1/4". Has anyone here had this issue? I'm wondering if they shipped me a string that was too long. I'm hoping to do some tuning tomorrow (if the weather holds out) and am hoping this won't be an issue...right now it doesn't do too bad at 8".

Also, I looked around a little and didn't see an "Introduce yourself" thread. If I have missed it, please direct me to it. I feel a little rude just joining and posting without introducing myself!

Looking forward to getting to know all of you!

Thanks,
Travis

Welcome and I believe you can introduce yourself right here Travis. I had a couple Dorados and never shot them with that low of a brace, I seemed to shoot it best around the 8" to 8 1/4" brace.

Ditto, 8" seems to be best for me as well.  I don't find many recurves to shoot well for me at anything less than 7 3/4.
