I have to agree with gringol. I wanted to shoot the mid weight bows so I bought a 75# bow and pulled it everyday to full draw and held it as long as I could and did this as many times as I could. I used to do massive amounts of push-ups and pull-ups but at 60 I'm only do 45 pushups during my work outs but I shoot 75 to 80# bows daily and can hold them a t full draw 20 seconds or so without shaking. A guy told me when I was in the military you'll never learn to shoot heavy bows by shooting light ones!

Go to crossfit.com this workout way of life concentrates on total strength, diet and endurance. They also show you how to use every day items to work out. Pull ups, rowing, dumbbell or barbell cleans are great back strength exercises.
