Any NC hog hunters?
« on: February 05, 2012, 10:30:00 PM »
I have a nephew that lives in Richlands, NC and several of his buddies have taken hogs recently. My family and I are planning a vacation in May and I am communicating with my nephew regarding doing a trad hunt for hogs during the vacation.

I've learned that public lands are closed to hog hunting except during other "game" seasons (i.e. squirrel, quail, deer, turkey, etc.). That means a private land hunt I guess.

Just wondering if anyone here hunts hogs in NC.

I didn't even think about Turkey season (even when I typed it above). I'll check the dates. Got a good lead on some public land. Hoping my nephew has some good info for me also.

Thanks.

There you go! There are hogs moving into a lot of NC. New proposal to let you shoot them and coyotes at night.
