bob lee recurve. 60" bow. what string length?
« on: February 06, 2012, 06:06:00 AM »
i just recieved some new limbs for my bob lee. they are recurve and on my 19" riser.
they are 60" AMO.  what is the string length on your 60" bob lee when the brace height is at around 7 1/2"?

i ask because i put the string that i use for my 58" limbs on the 60" limbs and the brace height is the same. should be way higher right? even side profiles between the 58" limbs and the '60"' limbs are very close.

thanks

Ozy,Id say56" if its a b50,and57" if its any of the newer fastflight matierials.Dont qoute me on this,as I wish some of these real pro would weigh in here. But thats been my experiance. The b50 stretches alott of course.I think I would run that brace height out to 7.75" or even just shy of 8".Also you could call JJ at Bob Lee.He is a very nice guy to talk to.Thats a scary proposition though for me as a new bow would probably come out of the conversation.

My Lee Signature loves a 7and7/8" brace height with a 56" B50 string.  :)

now i don't have a clue what's going on.
on my 58" bob lee at brace height the string length is 56". i put the same string on my new 60" limbs and get the same brace height.

either the new limbs are marked as 60" but are actually 58" or the 2 sets of limbs i've had for 3 years are 60" when they are marked as 58".

still waiting to hear from JJ via email.
