My dad and I are looking for a good place to go stumping or maybe find some squirrels, but we live in Bakersfield and don't know of anywhere close. Any suggestions?

Jake, the squirrels are pretty thick out on the east side of town. Stay close to the orchards in the Comanche / Breckinridge area and you should be alright.
Experience is something that you do not get until right after you need it!!!

Also try Sawmill Flats above Lake Isabella. Another good area is the Kern River Canyon also Breckenridge Mountain. I'm from Bakersfield and these were some of my best places for squirrels.
