Southern Draw L/B shelf cut?
« on: February 11, 2012, 09:14:00 PM »
I bought a Southern Draw 3 piece longbow off the board here.  It's on it way and was wondering if anybody might know how deep the shelf is cut on these guys?  Are they cut to center or past?

I'm trying to figure out what weight shafts I need to get ready for the bow.  It's 45#@28" and I'm a 29" draw.  I'd like to keep tip weight in the 100-125g range on these.  Do 55-60 wood shafts sound about right to you folks?

I would say more to center not past. I am at work but I have one at home I will look at. If I am wrong I will correct this post. You have a good one coming.
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways-BOW in one hand-ARROWS in the other-Body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming-WOO HOO! WHAT A RIDE!
