Jack Kempf Little Grizzly? Pictures Please!
« on: February 14, 2012, 03:45:00 PM »
Have always been an admirer of Jacks bows and have been showing an enormous amount of restraint as of late in not pulling the trigger on a kwyk styk or the new raven.  Reading the short longbow thread I just found out he makes a longbow called the "Little Grizzly".  Have never heard of this one before but really like my short bows and would love to have the opportunity to see one. If you have pics and are not as technically challenged as I would someboedy mind posting some pics?  Thanks!!!!

I have a little grizzly two piece and it's a awesome bow.  Its definitely one of those that won't be for sale.  I don't have any pics of it because I'm at the fire station.   I'll try and get some up tomorrow.

It's worth the wait for sure.  Jacks bows are super smooth and quiet.  Pleasure to shoot.     Aggie1993 has one too he might have some pics of his.

Yes, that Little Grizzly is one sweet bow! Mine is 58" and  I'll post some pics for you tomorrow.  I just bought one of Kempf's Trophy Hunter longbows and it's a dandy too.

I prefer the 58" Trophy Hunter Longbow...just personal preference. Don't think you can go wrong with any of Jack's bows.

Troy...glad that little bow is working out for you. You did a great job touching it up.

Best pix I have of mine. 60"-52# @ 29"
Gray actionwood. Nothing fancy. Shoots good.

It's really simple. Just don't take those borderline shots. Tomorrow is another day.

I have never been a longbow shooter short or long! However the "little Grizzly" is Unbelievable to shoot! I still do not own one , but is next on my list. I shot a 54" 66# one at Jack's shop many years ago, that left my mouth hanging open, smooth, absolutely stable , and quick! I personally think that IT is Jacks best kept secret!! I think i'll pull the trigger on one today!!

Here's mine Fudd! I'm including some pics of the Trophy Hunter Longbow I bought from Joe Skipp too so you can see the differnces in the limbs. The Grizzly is a flatbow and you can see the difference.

Serg...you should have been a car salesman...

I shoot recurves better than longbows BUT the Kempf Trophy Hunter longbow is one I shoot well. Even at 58" the bow is smooth to 28" and quick.

I'm sure the Little Grizzly, although designed different, will meet all your expectations.

Since recently getting my hands on both the little grizzly and the trophy hunter, I think I lean slightly in favor of the Trophy Hunter. Now, this could be because of all the mojo Joe Skipp put on it;) both are great bows.
