Advice Please Deer Hunters

Ok so I am very inexperienced as a deer hunter, due to the facts
A;I have massive work /family commitments
B; not alot of wild deer here.
So I have a scenario i would appreciate some advice on.
I recently found myself in a situation as shown in the masterpiece below were I had limited cover to close the distance to within bow range .If you are faced with this situation what would be your sugestions .

I would watch from a distance and try to pattern them.. Like what time of day they move to food or water.. Once i knew what they were doing i would try and set up on the trail the are using.. Bedded deer are pretty part to sneak up on... At least here in Arkansas..  Good luck, Mike

First and foremost what species of deer?
being in WA I suspect Fallow or Red
The green section I assume is grass? how tall and are there any tussock in there, rocks, fallen logs etc.

Find their escape route and set up on them there.

Maybe it's just my craziness showing but if I had the wind in my favor I would try a straight up belly crawl. I would probably avoid a direct approach toward the deer(move at an angle to them/don't look directly at them), and crawl ~5 yards then stay still for a few minutes, crawl ~5 yards and freeze for a while, etc. I don't know your effective range but for me I would need to crawl about ~40 yards total from the tree. That would be doable if there is grass that is even 10-12 inches high if you go sloooooow(a gillie suit would probably help). But like I said, I may be crazy. I am sure a lot of people would disagree with me on this, but if you have limited time you gotta go for broke occasionally.

I might back out and sneak up the road till I was even with them maybe a little past them and then try and move on them.

Try calling them in closer, fawn distres. I like what trumpkin said also.

When nothing at all will work. .  find a hidey spot where you can shoot 20 yards, get in there quiet,  and snort twice as loud as you can.  They MAY run, but more likely they might be nosey, since they can't smell you.  But. .  they will come looking for something, you need to act ASAP.

Every three days try a new approach, but I would never go directly in the bedding area. dont want to move them off the property.

If all else fails, and I mean all else, because your going to get a few good options from this thread, Loft an arrow just over their heads when their not looking and they may run right toward you. If they do run toward you, they will most likely stop and look to see what spooked them. this will give you a good opportunity to shoot without getting busted. I'v done it before,but there is only about a 25% chance they'll even run your direction. That is if they spook at all. This is like I said, a last ditch effort when there are no other options.Sounds crazy, but it can work.

I can only speak from whitetail experience.  If i know where they are bedding, i can figure out where they are coming from.  If you can figure that out, you can set an ambush point up somewhere along the way and know about what time they will be coming through.

I would set up an ambush point as well after I found where they were moving into the bedding area at.

Thanks for your imput fellas.
A direct belly crawl is a bit dodgy because they are bedded in a dry water course, and the road is busy with traffic (over here Hunters arent looked upon kindly) so you have to slide down a slope to get closer. I like the ambush Idea so I will work on that I think I will be able to set up a good spot on them . Cheers fellas I will let you know how I went
