Woodsman for 40# bow?

Reckon a woodsman will be ok for whitetail with a 40# @ 27 recurve to a range limit of 20 yrds? I will more than likely be using a wood or aluminum 1916. I'm trying to decide between the Stos or the Woodsman.

A lot depends on how well the bow performs and how well you shoot it.
A good performer with someone willing to take and make only the best shots it would be no problem. If there is any doubt on holding out for the right shot or if you are going to use wood arrows I would suggest the stos instead. jmo

The Woodsman will be an excellent choice.

My grandmother years ago killed deer with a 35# bear recurve. Probibly using bear or zwickey broadheads. It can be done, just be profficient with whatever use.

The Woodsman is an excellent head, so is the STOS and the STOS would definitely be my choice for that set up.
