Question for you all with experience:

I am looking for opinions for correct MFX spine for my set-up.  I shooting a 58" TC by BigJim and want to switch from woodies to carbon.  Bow length 58", 52# @ 29".  I draw right at 30.5" but am considering cut length of arrow to 31".  Any suggestions or help would be appreciated.  I am looking at field/practice points to start out with at 125 gr. but realize I could adjust as I need to.  Also, I can read a chart but I'm looking for input with folks with hands-on experience for a similar set-up.

Thx in advance,  Brian

Thx, hadn't thought that I'd need a point that big.  I'll give it a try.  Any help on who can supply the fletched arrows and tips?  I could do a search but again, looking for recommendations.

Thx, Brian

I think 3Rivers would be able to do complete arrows for you.  Keep in mind that the brass HIT insert weighs either 50 or 75 grains depending on if you snap off the 25 grain nub on the end.  The full HIT insert with a 150 grain screw in point comes to a total of 225 grains on the front of your arrow.

My recurves are all in the mid-50s at my draw length.  Uncut 400s with 150 grain points and the full HIT inserts works pretty well for me.

you could put 3 but if they are fairly well tuned 4" would prolly be a little better IMO.

I would suggest a 400 with 200 + up front at least. You can get that with the 75g brass inserts that come with the shafts and a 125-175g
pt.
Yes you can get the 5" feathers on those. We also offer complete arrows by beaman, easton, CX and Goldtip fletched by us and inserts installed here too.
thanks,bigjim

Boy, it'd be close Doug....I bet you could do it with a Bitz jig.  Hopefully someone will come on here who's tried.

Yep fletched mine up with 4-3in Gateway shield feathers at 90 degrees and they shoot like bullets! Love the setup.
