Anyone ever find an over the counter stain that is compatible with supercoat? Make one yourself? Any input would be appreciated.

I am not sure about the stain part of your question but I have put Minwax wipe-on-poly over fletch-lac paint and cresting. It was an accident the first time but when there were no effects (orange peeling of finish) I did some shafts up and had no ill effects. Do have to use Ducco to fletch. I have some cheap dowels from the home place to do my expermints with. Also save those cut off pieces of ceder shaft to play with.

Gunner...sort of the same situation here. I am away from home and all my neat-o accoutrements, butneed to make up some arrows. I want to paint the cap whits and use the wipe-on Poly to seal them. Fletch with Duco.
What sort of paint (acrylic, enamel, ....???) is best under the poly?
