mike yancey you did a bad ,bad thing..in a good way lol
« on: March 01, 2012, 11:05:00 AM »
folks i met mike and his wife of pine hallow longbows  at the allsouth/compton shoot ,let me tell you these are two great people ..
i had been eyeballing his bows for a few years ,and when i heard he would be coming down,i couldnt wait..
i bet i went in his booth 4-5 times a day ,so much his wife started laughing ,they are the type of folks that make you feel welcome..i asked mike if he could string the 64" 58#@28 and the takedown  62" 48@ 28..i took them out and shot them ..
man what a gorgeous killing machine mike makes ,the craftmanship is so great, that when you draw and shoot ,you will think you are shooting a glass bow..
well i tooked the takedown ,beavertail grip 62" 48#@28 sinew backed osage ,with flipped horn tips ..
i shoot this bow just as good as my glass bows ,i use to shoot primitive all the time ,but now im in it to my neck ..THANKS MIKE FOR PUTTING THE FIRE BACK IN  ME!!! and im loving every second of it!!
i see another one in the future ,one of his rawhide back with art work

I saw that bow on the table.  With the sinew back it looked like it was a living thing!

Good luck with it.  You got a truly unique weapon.
