?'s about snake skins on bow limbs

I am wanting to put skins on my bearpaws T/D limbs is this something that I can do or do I have to sent to somebody. I have the ablilty to do it my self and have some buddys that have done it before. Just trying do do something alittle different. I see you can buy skins on **** for 50 bucks is that a good price?  Mike

Yep not too hard to do. $50 sounds right, but if your gonna spend the cash you should think about using one of the sponsors. Pine Hollow sells some real nice skins for the same price and Mike is as reliable as they come  :thumbsup:

I paid $150 for some "Matching" copperheads. Thing you have to be careful of is how well the two skins match. I would get photos of the actual skins before you order. Now if you don't care if they are similar or not "Buy now" but the ones that are totally different on your top and bottom limb annoy me.

There is definitely no set price for snakes. A prairie rattler can cost you 15 bucks while a fancy rat snake or viper,etc. can run 125 apiece.
Know how they are prepared....dried, tanned, soft tanned, oiled, etc. Dried are the easiest to use.
Like TJ said, you have to know what you are buying. Every skin is different, its not like buying bedsheets.
Plenty of how to's here, you'll do a fine job with the info you'll get here. Be sure to post pics when done!!!!!!
