Dale Klug (Wild Trax) and I will head down to Waterloo, Iowa, from northern Wisconsin early in the morning. We plan to arrive at the Five Sullivan Brothers Convention Center @ 2 p.m. to set up our vendor spots and help other vendors set up. In the meantime, the Iowa Traditional Bowhunters Society (ITBS) will be setting up the bow try-out area.
Friday morning, most other vendors will arrive to set up in advance of the 2 p.m. start to the Midwest Traditional and Primitive Archery Expo.
Saturday opens at 9 a.m. and runs 5 p.m. Seminar speakers will be Gene Winter at 11 a.m. (selfbows), Tim Strickland at 1 p.m. (shooting) and Dennis Harper at 3 p.m. (Compton scoring system). A little before 5 p.m., door prize winners will be drawn for several TradArchers' World magazine one-year subscriptions, a foam block target donated by Jerry Coulter, a set of Predator Camo (pants, shirt and cap) donated by St. Joe River Bows and a grand prize sinew-backed longbow made by Mike Yancey of Pine Hollow Longbows. Later that evening, ITBS will hold its annual banquet on site. Tickets for that event will be available through Friday evening.
The show will conclude Sunday after being open from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Entry fees are $5 for adults and kids 12 and under free.
Hope to see you there. Tom
