Stumpin' the High Country...
« on: March 11, 2012, 06:55:00 PM »
Finally got a chance to get up to one of my favorite areas to camp and hunt turkeys and elk. We decided to grab the camera so I thought I'd share some of the pics we took.

We were kinda scouting for the upcoming turkey season and only saw one turd. It was nice to get out of the city for a few hours, though, if ya know what I mean...

You can't tell from the pics, but we were shooting at a 3' stump through the trees and had to snake the arrows through overhangs at about 40 yards. It was a fun day for sure...

Beautiful!!  Thanks for taking me along.  I love the open vistas of the west!
The season gave him perfect mornings, hunter's moons and fields of freedom found only by walking them with a predator's stride.

It was a fantastic day to roam around the mountains. Lost an arrow but something tells me it won't be lost for long.  :)
