They are a bit out of my price range as well. That said I paid $70 for my last 6 broadheads (Woodsman Elite 175 grain), but I don't see any reason to change to anything else after shooting them either. They are scary sharp, hold an edge well, and penetrate like no other. I am sure the German Kinetics are a great head, but for me I have found my proverbial one.

I have Abowyer Brown Bears and they are as expensive as I go. They are great heads and tough. They should outlast any other head I have.

Good luck with this venture, but in a economy like this where people are really watching their finances, it may be hard to get enough demand to justify the investment you may have to put into it.

Also I don't think I would pay German manufacturing prices for Chinese products.

Markus is still involved with them in a consultant position, he sold the company to a good friend of his (Ingo) in German. These are exactly like markus use to make a few years ago.

Too expensive for whitetails.  Probably worth their price though.  Just don't see a great market for them in US.

I had a friend that used them in africa (up to cape buffalo) and they performed flawlessly.

I think there is a place for such heads.  Sure others will do the job.  But some guys like to have the best of everything and have confidence in that.  Not saying you can't accomplish that with super hilbre's, but there is something to be said for the engineering and quality of those heads.  I for one would try them.

I bought 3, 125's and 3, 150's when ABS was selling them for half-price. They are terrific looking broadheads. I have not used them though. I'm enjoying a single bevel called the Helix for now.

6.5x284 I agree with you I am one of the guys who wants what I think is the best. I am sure these are among the best 2 blade's made out there. I am a 3 blade fan and feel that the VPA terminator/Woodsman Elite is the best 3 blade out there today. That said just because something cost more doesn't mean it truly is better than another.

So the rumor that they are/were built in China is not true??  German made by Ingo instead of Markus??
I always thought ABS had bought the rights and production moved to China?

Good looking.
Definitely have the COOL FACTOR.

but WAAAY too pricey for me.
To many other, more than good enough heads at a fraction of the price.

My thoughts are in this economy I would carry the less expensive heads.

I spent 20 years in Germany and love German craftsmanship and quality control. Having said that, I think an arrow head is designed to cut one time; on the way in, on the way out the other side and everything it runs into in between. I can re-sharpen the head after it's done the job. These are made of 440B stainless steel which is being marketed as a "super steel". That's one of the more common stainless steels used in medium quality knife blades.

Nice blades to be sure, but I think I'll save a bit of money and stay with my Zwickey's and Woodsman Elites.

As Bladepeek said the 440b is questionable and aluminum in a broadhead eventually bends.
They definately have the looks and maybe the precision but the materials are less than optimum for longevity IMO.
We have many excellent broadheads when combined with a steel bha that will serve us well when we need screw in heads.
