Thanks all for posting. I'm now finally in the position to order but can't make up my mind on a riser! Really like the osage as well as the grey action wood.

I have 2 Osage risers and found the color change to be too much over time. My son has a Cocobolo riser which is sweet and more recently I got one in Bocote which is my current fav

I have owned a bunch of ACS bows . Presently, I have a 12 in. riser , 62 in. bow and a 66 in. with a RC riser. The 62 in. is 49# and the 66 is 47#.

3 piece takedown,64,47@28, bamboo core, 16 in recurve riser. Owned a lot of bows, this is the best, none even close to how good this bow shoots. Quiet, smooth, no hand shock, and just fun to shoot.

I just got my 66" 52#@28" 16" RC 3PTD, and have only tuned one arrow to it, with the help of Rocky Mountain Specialty Gear.

It is a 750 grain arrow suitable for dangerous game:  the arrow is an Axis ST 300 cut at 30.25" from string to back of broadhead, the head is the 265 grain Dauntless, with a 111 grain SS adapter, 25 grain 2.5" Eclipse 2014 footer.  The arrow is 26% FOC and flies well with 2.25" shield cut LW fletches (to match Left Bevel broadhead.)  I may have to go to longer fletches when I get in the wind with the broadheads.

My riser is cut 3/16" past center, which I think is standard for the ACS series.

Two 14-inch risers, one 16-inch riser and four sets of limbs.  Makes for a lot of different combinations from 50-56#@28 inches in 62-inch to 66-inch bows.  I shoot wood spined about 15-20# heavier than the draw weight, usually around 12 gpp or a little more.

look below.  :)

Gold tip 55-75 with 50 grain brass insert and 125 grains points. this arrow flies great out of bow my 55 and my 50. I add weight tubes to the arrows for the 55 and none for the 50.

My limbs are all ACS ACX with Bamboo cores. one riser is Carbon and the other is wood.  The other limbs are my 3D limbs and are on order.
