4 blade stinger and 48#s ?
« on: March 15, 2012, 12:01:00 AM »
I was wondering for those of you who have experienced with this weight, if a four blade stinger would be ok. I did not know how much difference the bleeder blades would make? Would I be better off with the regular two blades? I shoot out to 25 yds if conditions are right. I will be shooting a BW PCH 48#s @ 28. I draw 28.5 and will be shooting arrow of 490-520 grains (whitetail only).

I have a similar set up and it should be fine. I haven't shot an animal with it but I would imagine you would not have to worry if you hit your spot.

No worries with your set up.  Multiple deer and bear have fallen to my 48lb black widow and a magnus stinger 125 grain 4 blade.

I shot a boatload of pigs, deer, and coons this year with a 45# bow and 465 grain arrows with a 4 blade stingers. You'll be 100% fine. Happy hunting!

Bows from the late 60's drawing 45# used 4 blade broadheads and they had no problems killing game.

A 4 blade stinger is a great broadhead and I think it will be fine for you setup. Good luck!!!

I see these types of post all the time....yet no mention of what you are intending to shoot.

If we don't' know what you are wanting to try and kill...we really can't answer.

I shoot through whitetails with 52# and a Zwickey Delta 4 blade which is a larger head than the stinger. You shouldn't have any trouble.

Wouldn't hesitate with that combo for deer.

i haven't noticed any difference in penetration on deer with either 4 or 2 blade stingers as long as no major bone is struck.  i think your good to go.

No problem with that setup. My son had a complete passthrough on a Buck with 150 grain 4 blade stinger with his 37# Ben Pearson Cougar.
