You sir, are blessed! A fella don't have to spend a ton of money or do great things because it alway's seem's to be the little things that they remember.
Thank for your service, the picture of you little sweetie and the story. Touching!

My only child just turned 7 last week. She runs to pull my arrows before I get there. I just ordered her a fiberglass bow to start out with and some arrow building supplies.

I know it's got to be tough being away. I have to travel some for my job. I was away for about 3 months last year and it was a very hard thing.

Thanks for what you do  and sharing the story.
The season gave him perfect mornings, hunter's moons and fields of freedom found only by walking them with a predator's stride.

I also thank you for your service!

Great story.  I have a grand daughter from my daughter that is about 6.  Nothing pulls the heartstrings like daddy's little girl.  :)

Hug them, Kiss them, Hold them, Pray with them and Cry with them, they grow up so fast and the day will come when you look back and wish for one more chance to Hug them, Kiss them....

Awsome!
An arrow can only be shot by pulling it backward. So when life is dragging you back with difficulties, it means that it's going to launch you into something great.

Thirty some years have passed, now my son and son-in-law have started to bowhunt with me (Tippit's Finest Hour post).  Plus my 2 1/2 year old grandson really wants to shoot with us.  I couldn't be happier.

Enjoy it Brian...tippit
Thank you all for your kind words and support...it is tough being away but they do understand why I am not there and that I WILL be coming back.

Hey Tippit...Have not forgotten your offer to do some shooting when I return to Aiken...look forward to meeting you and your crew at some point..and seeing that knife in your profile pic in person..that thing is slick!

What a cutie. Enjoy them both while they're young. They grow up and you grow old before you know it.

The up side to that is that I've let my boys become the brawn and the brains now and I enjoy them "taking care" of me when we go out hunting.

It just doesn't get any better than having your kids enjoy you being around and miss you when you're not.

Proverbs 17:6  Children's children are the crown of old men; and the glory of children are their fathers.

A sweet story indeed and a blessing not to be taken advantage of or considered lightly. Bless her desire to be with you and whenever possible cherish and encourage those times.

Rich blessings!
David
