tappering wood shafts

What tapper tool to.use for 1/4 shafts..

A Woodchuck or similar sanding-style tool will do it. Or, I think the new Tru-Center tool has 1/4" guides available. Failing that, just shim them up with some masking tape. It'll add some time but it will work fine.

Or if you have a discsander and a protractor....
