I really like his commercials. At the end of his commercial, like with his bowhunting, he always has an arm full of "babes".

Sasha Lived his later years in Green Lane PA. Where my two sons live now ( I'M about 10 miles away )His son   used to  run a museum    there   with all his stuff on display.   Went to it  a number of times in the  late 70s and 80s .  Got to handle one of the spears one time. Gave me chills,   wish it was still open for my sons to visit .

"Hunting is hard work. There is one redeeming feature about it though. At the end of the spear it is the cat that labors, not I. He is impulsive, does not like me. Few cats do, as a matter of fact. So he makes his lunge and is rewarded with a foot or so of cold steel. His intentions were laudable, but his judgment poor." -- Sasha Siemel as interviewed in 1937 by George Brommers.

The whole interview:  http://tmuss.tripod.com/shotfrompast/sas.htm

And in case, like me, this thread completely bewildered you, here is a YouTube that explains it all:

Brilliant observation. Keep up the good work.

I heard he could shoot an arrow into the sky and keep it up there until a deer walked underneath it.

Hate to see Siemel preserved in alcohol in this way.I have no respect for pickled playboys or those who wish they were.
