Trip to TwoTracks
« on: April 02, 2012, 08:41:00 PM »
KHALVERSON and I went to visit Chuck at his shop today. What a great visit, even after I realized I was the only one there with NO TALENT!     :(     Chuck makes amazing bows and his wife produces one of the finest wool vests available. Kevin brought along some knives he made for Chuck and an awesome tradepoint that he forged for Chuck. Lots of talent between them, I just pulled down the overall average. Had a chance to talk shop and bows with Chuck. We are planning on working some bow blanks into bows and trying a primitive style hunt together. Chuck has an excellent supply of domestic and exotic woods that are going into the bows on order. If your on the list, you will really like what is headed your way. If your not, what is holding you back? Chuck's bows are top quality at a great price. Ask him about the grey stain!     :D      Thanks for letting us visit Chuck.     :clapper:

Yep. Chuck and Chris gave us over 4 hours of their undivided attention. Shoot, even the dog was nice to us! Pretty neat to see bows and vests in various stages of completion.

Yep Kevin makes a pretty good knife, and that trade point was very cool.
Owlbait,KHalverson,Treedancer and myself are planning to hunt this fall with primitive gear. Kevin made up a cool trade point for his arrows and gifted me some steel to work on my own points. We just plan to have some fun this fall, and we will surly try to bring you all along.
It was a good visit yesterday and makes me wish OCT would come all the quicker.

Chuck, can you post a pic of that tradepoint. Kevin is too modest to show off his work. I think it is an excellent point. I hope he has one or two more that I can talk him out of!

Mike, Kevin is modest and very talented. And also very generous, But that head went home with him for his arrow. We talked about it and he is going to coach me along as I try to get some trade points out of that steel blade he gifted me. If I can get one half that good I will be tickled.
I have some good ideas brewing for the bows, Stay tuned for that.
